Hi,

Steroids is good anti-inflammatory medicine. It is also life saving drug and needs to be reserved for emergencies. Steroid does have side effects difficult to manage after prolonged intake. In this scenario steroids are to be used judiciously and cautiously. Please consult a rheumatologist for suitable personal advise.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
