I have gone through your query and understood the concern. I would like to know if you were also examined along with your wife for evidence of infection and taken treatment. If not so, please get it done. Abstinence is strictly indicated during the treatment course in order to achieve good result from the treatment, especially if the other partner is the source of infection. though you could not do this, since six days of treatment have already passed, the effect should be less. Moreover, most of the medication will get absorbed with an hour of insertion, though the whole amount takes few hours to leave.
