Can Iodine Intake Increase Swelling Glands In Neck?

Hi, I have just started taking Lugol's iodine supplement and feel great. However, my the gland in my neck feels swollen and the only way I can explain how it feels is like having indigestion in my neck. Do you know why this is happening? Should I stop taking the iodine?
I would be grateful for your advice.
