Can Irregular Menses Affect Pregnancy?

I have been on the nexplanon birth control for a year and a half, it completely took away my menstrual cycle. My husband and i have unprotected sex. I was wondering if i were to conceive....i obviously wouldn t know if i were pregnant due to me not have my monthly menstrual cycle. How would that affect the pregnancy/fetus?
