Can Irregular Menstrual Discharge Be Onset Of Menopause?

Had period last month beginning of month for 2 days only really light usually last five days then again around 25th of month dark lasted 1 1/2 day please say this can;t be sign of pregnancy I am 42 years old also think I am going through pre menopause
