Can Is Continue With Doryx While Taking Solodyn For Acne Despite Suffering From Tiredness, Fatigue And Headaches?

Ok so I've taken a prescribed medicine called solodyn for my acne that the dermatologist gave me . I've only taken it for 8 days because the derm gave me samples and I didn't want to run out . So I stopped it about a week ago . We don't have insurance yet to cover the expensive drug . Until my fam gets insurance and buys my medicine I'm not taking anymore from the samples . Today I'm suffering from tiredness , fatigue , a headache , and upset stomach . I thought it was something that I ate but when I searched the symptoms online , it's what I'm having now . I've had ache since I was 11 and I'm going to be 16 in a few months . I've tooken doryx before and my acne went away !! The bad thing was I've stopped because the side effects was CRAZY !! I felt like crap all the time and when I stopped at first nothing quite happened . But eventually it came back much more worse . I don't want to suffer from acne any more . Idk whether to keep taking this solodyn medicine and let it go away . Or just let my body be . I eat balance my diet , I work out almost everyday . I drink plenty of water . Should I just give it time to heal by itself or rely myself on a drug that has a neutral reputation about it ??

Hello,Thanks for writing here.Both solodyn and doxy belong to same category of drugs called tetracyclines.They can cause cause side effects like headache tiredness etc.It will be better to stop these both drugs.Topical antiboitic like clindamycin with benzoyl peroxide will help in most of cases.Chemical peels are another good option.You need to consult your doctor and ask him to put you on topical medicines as far as possible.Hope this will help you.Take care.
