Can Knots In Knee Cap Suggest Graves Disease?

I have this small pea size knot right below my right knee cap my doctor said it was some kind of syndrome but I can't remember what he called it..He said usually people with Graves Disease usually have suspicious knots appear. Could you possibly tell me what it could be?
