General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the child is showing up intestine upset with possible enzyme deficiency or others issue of bacterial or viral bug manifestation. My guidelines at present:
- Laxative can provoke diarrhea and hence not recommended unless severe constipation (beyond 3 days)
- Glycerine suppository insertion per rectum with hand gloves is safest and best way to approach abdomen heaviness and absence of motions for 2 days
- Allow more liquids including boiled water, lemon juice, coconut water, fresh butter milk
- Prefer easily digestible food stuffs with avoidance of spices, dairy fat, non-veg items if consuming
- Make child more playful, rather then bed ridden
- Watch for skin turgor, urine output and diet intake
- Addition of carminative syrup with fungal dipeptidase or other herbs from ayurvedic point of view would be best

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
