Can Lipoma Removal Surgery Cause High Fever?

I had limpoma removal surgery 26 days ago and I still have drain inserted under my right armpit where the limpoma was removed. Three days ago I developed a fever 100.4 degrees and am taking Bactrim and regular tylenol. Should I ask my doctor to do more...my temperature varies from 98.7 to 99.8
