Can Loud Noise Cause ETD?

I've had chronic ETD for about 13 years. I have been taking antihistimines and popping my ears a lot and its doing the trick. My ear feels better than it has done in 13 years but not completley back to normal. I am going to a couple of heavy metal concerts next month and I am worried that the loud music will make it bad again. Can loud noise cause or exacherbate ETD?

Hello,

The loud voice may won't cause eustachian tube dysfunction, but eustachian tube dysfunction may lead to more prone to develop noise-induced hearing loss problems. Pharyngitis or allergies or sinusitis may cause eustachian tube block. Avoid spicy food and alcohol avoid smoking. Avoid cool'drinks and freeze water. Use salt water gargling and water vapor inhalation thrice a day for five days. If symptoms not improved, please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
