Can Low Numbers Of Sleeping Pills Cause Any Side Effects?

Hi,

I have a quick question for you.

Please let me know the effects of consuming sleeping pills. How bad is it.
Also let me know what happens if a person consumes 4 or 5 sleeping pills. Please let me know the minimum number of sleeping pills even if taken doesn't affect the person.

I require this because I need to help my friend. He is a 22 year old guy.
