Can Lumps Occur After Tonsils Removal?

I have recently had my tonsils removed. 8 days ago to be exact. The past day or two I have had swollen bumps on the back on my tongue. They burn and make it hard to eat. Are they due to the tonsil removal? I am in a lot of pain from the bumps. The tonsil area scabs are healing well.

Having ur tonsillectomy done just few days back it would be better to have a visit to ur doc. It may be due to simple post op inflammation or enlargement of lingual tonsils but taking into consideration the risks involved with secondary bleeding post tonsillectomy taking risk is not worth.
