Can Lyme Cause Rashes, Severe Headache And Fever?

I have a very itchy rash on both arms. It started one week ago and is not getting better. It has also been connected to severe headaches, fever and all over terrible feeling. I saw a dr. on Friday and they are testing for lyme. I do not have the results back yet. Any other thoughts?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have rashes, severe headache and fever. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like sinusitis , meningitis , sunburn , virus infection , viral pharyngitis or food allergy . I would suggest you to avoid food like nuts and sea food , take over the counter anti histamine like benadryl along with take steam and anti pyretic like paracetamol . If condition doesn't get well then consult general practitioner for proper examination. Doctor may order test like blood test , take history and do physical examination . Doctor may prescribe anti viral drug , anti bacterial depending upon the diagnosis along with anti inflammatory . Doctor may refer you to ENT specialist for sinus problem .
