Can Medication Clear A Small Clot In Uterus?

i have a post delivery clot again most likely from taking the progesterone pill, i had this last year after my daughter was born and had to have a d and c. this year my gyane gave me a tablet to make my uterus contract for 4 days and told me to come for a scan in 2 weeks time. is it likely to clear a smal clot?
