Can Medication For Thyroid Disorder Cause Hot Flashes And Excessive Sweating?

what will happen if i get off of my thyroid medication for a week or two. i am suffering from major menapause flashes and sweats and my naturopath doctor seems to think it is my thyroid medication. i would like to get off of it for a week or two to see if my hot flashes and sweats will go away. what do you think?

Thyroid medication can cause heat intolerance if the dose is causing the thyroid hormone levels to be too high but should not cause menopause symptoms.

These symptoms would only occur if the thyroid hormone levels are high. If you can have a blood test to check your thyroid hormone levels then this would be best.

If the level is too high, then the dose would need decreasing.
