Can Meniscus Repair Heal Torn Meniscus With Osteoarthritis And Bone Fragments In Knee?

I have been diagnosed with a torn inside and outside meniscus on right knee. I also have been told I have osteoarthritis and bone fragments in that knee. Will it do any good to have the meniscus repaired? I am not sure if the tear is in the red zone or white zone, should the location of the tear be a determining factor on whether to have it repaired? What questions should I ask my doctor about my condition and care? Thank You
