Can Menstrual Cycle Reoccur After Morning After Pill?

My last period ended May 5th and my boyfriend and i had sex with a condom but it broke and i went and got a morning after pill and took it within 4 hours and another 12 hours later. Monday i felt like i was going to throw up. Tuesday i felt fine. Wednesday(today) i had bleeding and cramp like a normal period. Can this happen when its only been 6-7 days since last period?
