Can Mental Tension Cause High Blood Sugar Levels?

we had a recent blood sugar check for my good lady at free masons delhi, the blood sugar after taking 80 gm of glucose and a 2 hr wait period was 220mg. is it true that mental tensions can lead to high sugar levels. is this temporary or we need further investigations and where shud we go...

Yes stress tension can increase blood sugars but it will be a mild rise . But your lady's value is quite high very unlikely to be only due to tension.
Anyhow for further confirmation you can get HBA1C test which is not affected by tension.
