Can Mini Stroke, Be Related With Dizzy Spells And Blurred Vision?

I had a weird episode last night where I got extremely dizzy and could not walk or stand up- my vision in my left eye got very blurry and distorted and prior to that my right calf was very swollen and my right lung hurt when i coughed or breathed in. When I went to talk- it sounded like I was drunk- but I don't drink (ever) or do drugs. I was really out of it and couldn't remember little things for a short time- could this have been a mini-stroke?
My mom had one when she was my age (45) No medicines or ilnesses at the time.
