Can Mirena Cause Brown Discharge And Pelvic Pain During Intercourse?
I have had the Mirena IUD since April 2013 a littl over 2 months after our 2nd child was born. I have had one 3cm cyst that had expelled on it s own about 2 months ago. Now I have been lightly bleeding with brown stringy discharge mixed in for the past 2 weeks. I have been having pain in my pelvic area during sexual intercourse and after working out. I have started working out for the past 2 months on a daily basis as well. I haven t lost any weight just gained muscle. So I am still 130lbs and 5ft 3inches. Not sure if I should worry if the IUD possibly moved or if my body is just changing due to exercise.

I think the brown discharge and abdominal pain during intercourse is due to any infection and Mirena favorites the infections. Do a vaginal secretions smear to check for infection.
