Can Miscoordination Between The Eyes Be Corrected?
I am a lady aged 44 years who had a bulgy eye in both the eyes. Consulted many doctors for the cause of it and cure for it. This started since 3 years. Everybody said there is no treatment for this but one doctor in madurai said that there was a cure for this. I trusted him very much and underwent the operation on both the eyes last November. The white fat was removed and was sent for biopsy and they said it was orbital thyroid fat. I had done my thyroid test last year atleast three times and it was normal. After the operation my eyes have become like squint and in a very bad position. I have vision in both my eyes but coordination is not there in both the eyes. Can this be corrected? I was not squint before.
As per my surgical experience, the issue is due to malfunctioning of particular muscles of eye as medial or lateral rectus, superior or inferior oblique.
A detailed examination from neurologic point of view and MRI of the eye is must before concluding further guidelines to cure the squint.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
