Can Mobility Be Restored On The Right Side Of The Body After A Stroke?
My husband had a stroke for first time his blood pressure always runs high it was 285 over 100 he couldn t feel his right side now he s in a rehab barely can understand or answer questions he now can feel sensation on his right side can move his arm over sometimes without even realizing it he use to keep his eyes close alot now he is a little more alert still a little disoriented he s been this way for a month now . Is it a possibility he can regain movement back on his right side.
Some patients with stroke recover quickly. But most need some form of long-term stroke rehabilitation, lasting possibly months or years after their stroke.
Your stroke rehabilitation plan will change during your recovery as you relearn skills and your needs change. According to statistics, 10% have a full recovery and about 40% have a disability after stroke.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
