Can Mono Cause Lightheadedness And Unconsciousness?

My daughter has pustules on her tonsils and test came back for strep, she was also tested for mono, but that test was inconclusive. She is complaining of feeling light headed and just fainted but was out for only a few seconds. Is this something common with mono? She has been to a walk in clinic on Friday, and to emergency department on Saturday and Sunday but the doctors did not seem concerned. She also has anxiety and wondering if the anxiety can be triggered by the virus even though she is not feeling symptoms from the anxiety

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

If she is having pus tonsils she can take antibiotics to cure it. This condition is not related to Mono and has nothing to do with it. Anxiety is also not related to strep throat or Mono.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
