Can Morphine In Prescribed Doses Cause Death?

Hi- My mother was on Hospice care for COPD. In the end, I was administering morphine in doses according to doctor s prescription. I sometimes feel like I am responsible for herdeath, as it seems like assisted suicide. What do you have to share on this topic / issue. Thank you.
