Can Mouth Ulcers And Sore Throat Be The Symptoms Of Std?

i am 29 yrs old and had kissed a lady and had toungue contact. couple of days after i had mouth ulsers, sore throat and i had some small red dots in my mouth the size of pin holes to describe them.i still have dry lips and in inside of cheeks i feel small dots when touched with my tongue .did i contract an std, . please shed some light . concerned

thank you for query.Stds can be transmitted by oral sex.also there are many diseases transmitted by skin to skin contact or by kiss like bacterial or viral like herpes etc specially if the lesions are active.The symptoms may be due to herpes simplex or fungal infection .More likely to be herpes .Even simple respiratory infections also can be transmitted by kiss and oral sex if the other partner is infected .
