Can Multiple Ear Infection Cause Small Black Box On Eardrum?

My daughter is complaining of mild hearing loss and her pediatrician saw what looked like a small black box on her eardrum. The doctor says it looks similar to what it looks like after a child has had tubes, but the hold hasn t closed properly so it s been patched. However, my daughter never had tubes. She had multiple ear infections as an infant, but hasn t had one in 4 or 5 years now.

This could be healed ear drum perforation.

I recommend you to consult an ENT surgeon for Otoscopic examination.
She will be fine.
