Can Multivitamin Supplements Be Taken Along With Amlodipine?

I take 2.5 mg of amlodopine, can I take a multivitamin or a hair, nail, skin vitamin ? Also is it ok to have a glass of wine occasionally? And is there anything specifically that reacts to amlodopine? (Otc s, prescriptions, vitamins? ) Thank you for your answers.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
Using amlodipine together with multivitamin with minerals can decrease the effects of amlodipine. However they could be taken at different times of day. However you could take a occasional glass of wine( if you have no liver disease), there is no interaction of it with alcohol. There are many medicines who could have interaction with amylodipine such as itraconazole, simvastatin, etc. Consult your doctor if you are taking any medicine regularly.
Talk with your doctor before using amlodipine and multivitamin with minerals together. You may need a dose adjustment or need your blood pressure checked more often if you take both medications.
