Can Neck Strain Have Serious Repercussions?

I work on a computer at work while ordering items. Recently, they have taken the chair I use for ordering away. As a result, I am experiencing neck strain, as I have to look down in the same position all the time, while ordering. This could be a long time if we are busy. I would like to ask if this neck strain could lead to anything in the future
