Can Numbness Of Tongue And Lower Lip Be Related To Having A Cold?

Have had a really bad cold, respiratory infection, something like that this week. Been taking OTC meds, using netipot. Feeling some better today, beginning to get back taste & smell. But my tongue & lower lip are numb. Any of this related? I am 58 yr old female diabetic type 2 for 8 yrs, have lost approx 60 lbs in last yr, now at 220 lbs.

Hello. thanks for your Query. I feel cold does cause alteration of taste n smell n numbness of lips is not sure. probably because of diabetic neuropathy.
