Can One Be Pregnant If Taking Oral Birth Control ?

I restarted oral birth control last month. 3 says before my inactive pills I quit taking the active pills. In addition to this I had unprotected sex the day I stopped taking the pills. I ended up having my period it was a normal period . I'm concerned that I may be pregnant.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I think you are not pregnant since you had a period and if you finish active pills and don't take pills after or take inactive pills is the same because they don't contain hormones.

Hope I have answered the question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
