Hi,

Almost 90% protection is achieved after booster dose of hepatitis B vaccine however the protection level fall to as low as 75% within 10 years of vaccination, Hepatis is 10 times more contagious than HIV.

Try to use condom while having sex with your husband, as though immunization provide protection yet 10% risk is a high risk. You can plan a child and immunisation will again be repeated during pregnancy and after birth however chances of child having infection are quite high despite vaccination.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ramesh Kumar
