Can One Make Up For Missed Dosage By Taking Higher Dosage Later?

Hi I have the highest dosage of folic acid 5mg prescribed through my gp. However i have ran out of folic acid tablets at home. And with it been a long bank holiday can i make up my high dose by taking more of the folic acid bought over the till at 400 micrograms.
