Can Oral Contraceptive Pills, Cyst In Uterus And Low Hb Count Cause Missed Periods?

Hi doc. iv missed my period for the previous month. My HB is low and im taking iron tablets along with Vit c. Am also taking oral contraceptive pills as iv a follicular functional cyst in the right uterus about 3cms. I have undergone tubectomy about three and a half yrs back. want to know if these factors are causing a delay in my mensuration cycle

Hi,
I understand your concern.
All the three points Anemia/ oral contraceptives ( with progesteron only pills ( minipill) / Ovarian cyst on right side are capable of causing delay in periods.
YOu have already undergone tubectemy.. making pregnancy impossible ( unless there is re canalization of tubes ) making either of three/ all three causes being responsible for delayed menses.
You should get rid of your doubt by urine pregnancy test after 8 days delay in periods.. & relay on your doctor treating you. After finding investigations.. if found necessary,you may be given treatment to cure probable cause for your delayed periods.
Total relief is going to take it's own time. be patient & follow doctor's advise.
