Can Pain After Surgery Cause Fatigue And Nausea?

I have had three surgeries on my r-thumb, only to find out it is still not in place and have to see another surgeon. The pain has been pretty bad. Its burning up my forearm. Can this also be causing me to feel drained and nausea?? First surgery was for torn ligaments, then the dr. Had to pull out a pin .then he had to lance it open bc of infection and i ended up with mersa.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Severe pain can cause dizziness and syncope. It will settle as the pain subsides. Continue analgesics. If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
