Can Pain In Arm And Numbness Be Due To Heart And Lung Problems?
My son was born with heart problems and now is having pain in his right arm and numbness. Tonight it turned purple. He s undergone 3 open heart surgerys. He had the right valve replaced each time. He has no pulmonary valve. So he only has 1 working lung.is this new condition due to his heart problems?
This is quite concerning as it could represent a clot in that extremity, which patients with congenital heart disease are more prone to; he should get immediate evaluation likely with an ultrasound and other tests as determined by his pediatric cardiologist.
Hope that helps, wish you the best,
