Can Persistent IBS Progress To Cancer?

I have been diagnosed with IBS many years back, had colonoscopies many times over. My concern is can it progress to cancer or maybe a twisted bowel or something? I have had pain because of IBS but 5 days ago I woke at 3 am to the worse pain ever. It took me an hour an half on the toilet and because of the pain I was throwing up at the same time, have never done that. Now bowel movements hurt like hell, my tummy is very very sore, get pains in my kidney side and feel supper bloated. I did notice over the past few months that bowel movements are uncontrollable as well. I will guess that you will tell me to go see my doctor.

Hello,

IBS is not an organic problem, it has to do with the normal functioning of the bowels.

To confirm IBS, we usually rule out other organic issues.
If having problems, then, it's due to IBS episode (crisis) we call it.
Foods you eat are very important. Rule out candida overgrowth.
Discuss this further with gastroenterologist.

Hope this helps.
