Can Placebo Pills Be Taken During The Menstrual Cycle?

My daughter is currently on birth control pills and has missed a few days which has thrown her normal cycle off. She is now on her period and is wondering if she should continue to take her pills as schedule even if that means taking her placebo portion that she is now scheduled to be on despite having her period.

Hi , as she has missed many days and cycle is disturbed , she should start a new pack after her periods . On the fifth day of her menstrual period, take your first pill.
