Can Playing Soccer Cause Any Problem With Disc Protrusion?

mri impression: rt paracentral disc protrusion at L4/5 is effacing the rt lateral recess w potential for impingement of the rt L5 nerve root.

Im an avid runner and play indoor and outdoor soccer, have laid off this for two months, can I slowly start this up again or will it make this worse?
