Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had colonoscopy Friday morning, March 11. I was told, 4 polyps were snared, 3 of them 3-7 mm being benign in appearance, but one, 35 mm clustered in the cecum appeared to be cancerous. Although I know I must wait for pathology report, what do you think?
Hello dear Understand your concern. Poly is a abnormal growth of intestinal lining. It may be benign and malignant. But confirmation must be done by the pathology and cytology report. So you must wait for pathology report. Most commonly it is due to adenocarcinoma in polyp.
So yes it may be chance of malignancy. It can be removed by endocopy with minimal invasive approch. Hope this may help you Best regards Dr. Sagar
