Can Post Nasal Drip Cause Swollen And Tender Throat?

I have the sensation of fluid dripping in the back of my throat and phlegm in my throat which, at times, seems to be causing some difficulty swallowing. My submandibular glands are swollen and tender on both sides. Is this simply caused by the post-nasal drip. If not, what else could it be?

hello, thanks for your query, it's quite common to have post nasal drip secondary to sinusitis leading to sore throat due to stasis of mucus and secretions in throat. visit an ent surgeon for proper evaluation by xray or ct pns and definately treatment by antibiotics , mucolytics. hope I have answerd your query. all the best. take care.
