Hi, I had a laproscopy and had severe endometrosis and two ovarian cysts removed on the 1st of December, I started my period on the 29th of November so it was basically stopped after the op. I also had the mirena coil fitted during the surgery, I have never been pregnant and the coil didnt suit me so I had it removed on the 14th of December. I bled for about 3 days afterwards, then that stopped. I think I ovulated around xmas, I had unprotected sex on the 1st of Jan, on the 8th I felt like I was getting a period and had cramping in my back, but instead of that I have had a brown discharge for almost a week. I did two pregnancy tests which were negative. Could I still be pregnant or is this discharge from the surgery or coil removal?
This brownish discharge is probably due to infection after coil removal. Take cefixime tablets 200mg for 5days twice daily and dicyclomine tablets for pain as per requirement. Ovulation takes place 14 days before the start of the next menstruations if the periods are regular. Have patience wait for your menstrual cycle to get regularised then you can plan pregnancy with successful outcome. Endometriosis is a treatable disease and you have been taken proper treatments for it. So you don't need to worry just maintain your menstrual calender.
