Can Pregnancy Cause Cramps And Sweating?

So I just found out I'm about 3 weeks pregnant. I just woke up suddenly with severe cramps, sweatingg and mild neasuea. I went to the bathroom and proceeded to have a bowl movement. But that made my cramps and sweating worse. was this from the pregnancy or what?

Hallow Dear,

I should congratulate you for pregnancy.

Nausea and vomiting of pregnancy is couple of cardinal symptoms of pregnancy which usually start about 8-10 days after missing the period. You are now 7 weeks pregnant and are having these symptoms. Usually these symptoms stop after completing 3 calendar months of pregnancy.

The cramps you suffered from cannot be attributed to the pregnancy. You had profuse sweating which might have caused electrolyte imbalance in you. This could have lead to muscle cramps. Consumption of oral rehydration drinks or a glassful of water with a pinch of rock salt and a teaspoonful of sugar in it would give you relief.

Also please get your haematocrit values checked. Anaemia can cause cramps. However, with nausea and vomiting of pregnancy, you would not be able to consume iron tablets; they will worsen your symptoms. You should start iron tablets after 3 months of pregnancy when your nausea and vomiting has stopped.

I hope this helps you today.
