Can Pregnancy Happen Despite Being On Birth Control Pills?

i take birth control, me and my boyfriend last had sex on june 14th a few days before my period, i m not sure if he came in me. but i did start my period a few days later. but this month i m 4 days late, i put a tampon in me just in case and there was blood on it, but it won t flow out of me. i don t know what to do

Please dont worry if you are on the birth controll pills on regular basis.
How ever we can get a bit deranged periods during the use.
But we must also be careful for a delay of more than 10-15 days,at the out set and go for a urine hcg test.Although cases have been seen of tubal pregnancy but these are quite rare ,if we are very regular on contraceptive pills.
