Can Pregnancy Happen Despite Taking A Clear 72 Pill?

Hi. My age is 30, 5.2 ft height and 72 Kg weight. I had unprotected intercourse and taken clear 72 fill with in 24 hours. But i did not get period even after 1 week of taking clear 72 pill. Am i pregnant because of which i did not get period? My expected period is still 5 days to go. Now i am confused.. Am i pregnant or need to wait until my expected period date?

Hi there,

I have understood your concern and I will suggest you the best possible treatment options.
First of all do not panic.
As you might be aware that emergency contraceptive pills ,if taken within 72 hours of unprotected sex activity, help to prevent unwanted pregnancy in most of the cases.
Secondly, withdrawal bleeding with emergency contraceptive pills is quite erratic, it can be early or late and it can be scanty or heavy.
As you expecting your periods in next 5 days, I will suggest you to wait for the expected periods.
If you happen to cross your dates then please get morning's first sample of urine tested for pregnancy. In case of any doubt blood beta HCG test and USG will be of help.
Even if you are pregnant, you can opt for termination of pregnancy with abortion pills under medical supervision safely till 9 weeks of pregnancy.
