Can Pregnancy Happen Despite Taking A Postinor 2 Pill?

Hello,I had unprotected sex with my girlfriend on 26 October.though I didn t ejaculate inside her she took postinor2 and started bleeding lightly 5days later.we had unprotected sex again on the 6th day.should she take another pill?would she get pregnant if pill isn t taken?

Hi there, I have understood your concern and I will suggest you the best possible treatment options.

First of all do not panic.

Secondly, emergency contraceptive pill is known to have eratic withdrawal bleeding, it can be early or late and it can be heavy or scanty.

If you have unprotected sex activity in the fertile period of her cycle, means between day 10 to 20 of the cycle then you need to use emergency contraceptive pill. Also, it is to be used only once in that menstrual cycle.
Also, it should be used very rarely to be effective. It is not to be used once in a while, may be once in six months or so.

Please get proper sex counseling done, about safe and protected sex activity. This will help to prevent unwanted pregnancy and STDs.
