Can Pregnancy Happen While On Birth Control Pills?

I began taking the birth control pill, Sprintec, on the first day of my period. The pamphlet that came with it stated that it was immediately effective if I started on Day 1. The day after, I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend but he did not ejaculate. I take my pill every day at the same exact time, 3 thus far. Is there a possibility of pregnancy?

The failure rate of oral contracwptive pill is around 0.6 to 0.8 so in case of failure rate there is chance of conception.
Also if you are taking some medications like rifampicin, phhenobarbitone than the pregnancy rates rise.
