Can Pregnancy Increase The Cataract Infection?

my eye prescription just changed from -6.5 to -5.5, doc is suspicious of a cataract; I am 42 years old, my prescription has not changed in about 8 years, would pregnancy likely exacerbate the cataract? is there any other potential causes for a prescription change like this?

Cataract is not an infection. It is a degenerative change in lens of eye.more commonly with increasing age.
Usually pregnancy alone does not increase this.
Diabetes may increase it fast.
