Can Pregnancy Occur After Completing Dosage Of Duphaston?

Hi, I have been advised to take duphaston 10 mg 12th day from my period, my last period (6-8-17) for 15days. My course of taking tablet completed on 1-9-17. My question is will i get periods or will I conceive and when can I go for pregnancy test Pls help

Thanks for trusting us with your health concern. Duphaston is micronized progesterone meant to supply the hormone when it is deficient in supply. This does not induce ovulation or cause pregnancy. It helps to sustain a pregnancy. Period can be seen 3-7 days after completion of the course. Whether you conceive or not depends on factors like ovulation, tubal patency, male factor, timing of intercourse etc. If pregnancy occurs, you can test with a home pregnancy test kit 3-7 days after the missed period using a fresh early morning sample of urine. Please wait for the onset of menstruation and go for further evaluation if it does not occur. Take care.
