Can Prolonged Meth Use And Manufacturing Cause Diabetes?
Can prolonged meth use and manufacturing cause health conditions such as diabetes. My husband is an outstanding person now who has been clean for 2 years, but we are now seeing some health issues. I am just wondering if it could be due to his former life as a user/dealer. Thanks!
well..... it isn't linked directly. Here's what is linked: obesity, weight gain and we're finding that disordered sleep cycles also all predispose to diabetes. Additionally, we wonder about chemicals being linked to it since agent orange exposure seems to be statistically linked to development of (mild) type II diabetes. AND if someone stops an amphetamine, they generally gain some weight immediately afterwards. If the weight gain was large, that is a strong risk for diabetes.
