Can Prolonged Usage Of Marijuana Cause Stomach Problems?

Is there any evidence of long term smoking of marijuana and having stomach problems, i.e., vomiting, problems with eating beef, bowel issues. Brotherinlaw has been smooking weed for over 30 years and is having stomach problems. Can you help? He has been in and out of hospital emergency room the last 10 yrs with bouts of vomiting, etc.
